Announcing the 2024-2025 VRA Professional Development Grant Recipient

The Visual Resources Association (VRA) is pleased to present the 2024-2025 VRA Professional Development Grant in the amount of $1,000 to Jung Soo Bae, Electronic Resources Librarian & Metadata Specialist, National Gallery of Art Library.

Soo will attend the 10th International Conference of Art Libraries to be held in Barcelona, Spain. She plans on sharing insights from the conference, particularly focusing on library practices for Spanish art and cultural history, as well as artificial intelligence applications, with colleagues.

Additionally, Soo intends to explore the feasibility of implementing AI to enhance cataloging practices for e-resources through a pilot project. The results of this exploration will be shared with information professional communities to facilitate feedback and further discussions.
